Deliverance in a broad sense means the deliverance of your spirit, soul, body and the whole life from the power of darkness. In the deliverance process the Holy Spirit will connect you and fill you increasingly with the healing and regenerating power of God.
Jesus sets you free and keeps you free when you join Him and abide in Him. Outside of Jesus, you have no freedom in any area of your life. The more you are transformed in your mind into the image of Jesus, the deeper freedom manifests in your life. When you become like Jesus, you will be free indeed.
The term "deliverance" covers following areas:
Deliverance / purification of the spirit from the slavery of the enemy of the soul. This happens in new birth of the spirit when a person receives Jesus. Many bondages of life will break at that moment already.
Deliverance of the soul and body from demons and curses that oppose the reception of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Such bondages include idolatry, witchcraft, pagan religions, life dominated by lies, injustice, violence, murder and the demonization of death.
Healing of a broken heart. This means deliverance from the traumatization and demonization of the deep layers of identity, soul, mind, thoughts, feelings, dreams, memories, will and subconscious. This leads to dealing with family curses, which are the most difficult traumas and problems in life. The family curses may influence the child even from the conception and increase during childhood.
Deliverance and healing of the physical body. This means freedom from physical ailments and disease-causing demonization in the soul and body. Cleansing the soul is a prerequisite for healing of deeper injuries and illnesses. Deep traumas are source of unbelief. They must be dealt with through healing of broken heart.
Deliverance of the whole person from the false identity. This means the restoration of inner man into the knowledge, consciousness and maturity of the son / daughter of God. Healing of identity and increasing anointing of the Holy Spirit is a constantly deepening and brightening process of faith life.
Deliverance begins with the rebirth of the spirit. But the soul, mind, thoughts, feelings, dreams, memories and subconsciousness can still be stuck in wounds and bonds of injustice of the past life. Every person has a deep need for deliverance, because the darkness has been able to influence a person's life since childhood. The freedom that Jesus brings covers all areas of life. Jesus has prepared for you freedom from any sin, alcohol, drugs, consuming lusts, fears, nightmares, witchcraft, curses of failure, bitterness, depression, poverty, failures and so on.
Deliverance takes place under the influence of the power of the Holy Spirit, but it requires the consent of the human will. Demons can be easily cast out, but it is more difficult to make a person's wounded soul understand the truth, open up to Jesus and abandon the "old enslaver". Complete surrender, honesty and openness will lead to rapid deliverance. If necessary, let an anointed believer minister to you in the area of difficult bonds.
Accept forgiveness and forgive anyone who has hurt you. Maintain a forgiving lifestyle and you will stay free. When you have a testimony of God's acceptance as His own child, your identity and life is on a solid basis. Then you will have the strength to persevere in faith, fight against the temptations of sin and live victorious life in the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
